Best party my daughter threw was a Rocky Horror Picture Show party. It helped that I have a projector capable of hooking up to the computer or dvd player. Assembling goody bags (with items to throw etc) cost a little, but we borrowed the dvd from the library. Then there was just food, and some house of horrors decorations.
It was a blast and her friends still talk about it.
