Teenager pros: More freedom? Less to worry about than adults.
Cons: Pressures from peers, parents and other people. Immaturity
People say that teenagers think they know everything.
This is a strength and a weakness.
Some good things about being a teenager are that you are just beginning to be able to make choices for yourself. This can also be a weakness because at this time in your life, you may make big choices that affect the rest of your life, but you may not have enough knowledge about who you are and what you want to do to make good choices
strentghs: innocent and no worries
weaknesses: don’t know what they want
Strengths: Energy, lack of cynicism, fearlessness, physical health, open-mindedness, good memory.
Weaknesses: Lack of experience, values may not be fully formed, narrow exposure to life, fearlessness often puts them into risky situations, limited sense of consequences for actions.
you’re right about peer pressure. in strength i would say their way of thinking on how to think of something “new”.
they think they know everything even though they have no life experience…. put that under weaknesses
Pros: Excuse to act like a dumbass…xD
Crimes don’t go on your adult record
Most of the time its a pretty free ride
Physical abilities increasing.
Cons: School
No sleep
Everyones out to get you
Transiting from child to adult can be harder than it seems
Increasing responsibility (okay probably a good thing)
They are both the same answer - Experience - It allows them to think outside the box, be innovative, and be untethered to traditional thinking. But without it, you lose the practicality of knowledge, the time it takes to try all possible solutions and the maturity that comes from emancipation (self-support)
In addition to the stuff listed above, you can add the following under weaknesses.
They are subject to hormonal mood swings.
They are driven to seek independence, which can drive a wedge between them and their parents/families.
It can also lead them to push the boundaries/rules of society around them. (e.g. underage drinking, drinking and driving)
They have the right to go out in the evenings, but generally don’t have the right to do the things that adults do to keep themselves amused or entertained. (take legal drugs like alchohol, have sex, etc…)
There is often undue pressure to achieve at school, and in exams.
For strengths..
They are resiliant.
Full of youthful energy.
They are generally optimistic about the future.
They can be idealistic. (The world has not yet turned them into cynics.)
Most of the things which appear to matter to teenagers, actually don’t matter much. It’s the last period of their lives, probably, where they can mess up big-time, without having to worry about long-term consequences.
“I stayed out all night, took some x and had 10 pints of beer… and I got an F”
Big deal. Try doing that when you’re holding down a job and have a mortgage.
No strengths just weaknesses. Its one of the hards stages of life for most people.
STRENGTHS
Their bodies are at the best they will probably ever be.
Everything is new to them.
A contagious zest for life.
Innocence verging on adulthood.
I think most teens are kind and polite.
WEAKNESSES
Total self-absorption.
At the mercy of hormonal fluctuation.
Impatience.
Insecurities
