A vehicle with more safety features such as air bags, Anti-lock brakes, etc. will greatly reduce the cost of insurance of the vehicle simply because if he/she wrecks the provider wont have to pay as much health and hospital costs because the probability of surviving a crash is much higher. Also, Having a stick-shift is considered a “Sport-Vehicle” and will raise the cost not alot but a little. Take these into consideration. My State Farm agent told me the exact words. Hope this helped.
generally the safer the car, the lower the rates. you can look at car safety ratings for free on Crashtest.com.
Just remember no matter what it will be higher then yours
I also recommend shopping a bit asking geico, progressive, and so on.
the things to think about are:
1. NOT a sports car or one in any way is listed by the insurance as a possible sports car
2. get a car that is a few years older so as this will drop u down a few levels
3. get a four door as this is less of a sports car classification
4. believe it or not, ive heard time and time again do NOT buy a red car, as red cars get more ticket then all the other colored cars combined ( i think its because they r more noticeable) all the best
In general, get a 4 cylinder engine, at least 4 doors, and a vehicle that is not stolen often, so avoid these cars
Top 10 most stolen in 2005:
1991 Honda Accord
1995 Honda Civic

There are many factors that affect auto insurance rates, with the main factor being the car. Here is a list provided by the Insurance Bureau of Canada, that lists all cars and how their risk factors compare to each other.
In each category, 100 is the average rating, so if your car is rated 150, it is 50% above average, or 50 is 50 % below average. Lower numbers are more favorable.
You can get free quotes at , they compare all the companies in your area and then give you the 5 best prices!
2000 Ford Crown Victoria or Mercury Grand Marquis. They are also the safest for your son to drive. I recommend he only be allowed to drive by himself for the first year (no friends in the car). If you give him a subcompact sportscar (that he wants), remember that it’s about the size of a large casket.
Actually prices of cars are just one factor for the price of a car insurance there are still more to determine how much a car insurance should be…
but if you really want to know make a search visit sites like this and collect quotes and see who can offer the best and the cheapest car insurance.
