teenager
Rossi asked:

Say the parent got a kitchen knife and chased the teenager around with an angry look on their face, and the teenager thought the parent was going to stab them. What effect would this have on the teenager later in life?

(And no, this didn’t just happen to me. I’m just curious.)

I’d say it would be extremely traumatic.

Well, if it was a serious enough incident, the person could develop post traumatic stress disorder, also could develop trust or anger issues..theres really no limit to the amount of effects it could have, and no real way to say for sure

it definitely would be very scary and have a very negative effect on the teen, probably take a long time to feel close to that parent again and would people in their life with alot of patience and understanding

i hope that person can develop good relationships in life and trust again and possibly help others because of her experience

To tell the truth, 95% of all this mental disorder and Post Traumatic Stress stuff is complete crap. Just a bunch of drama queens looking for attention.
