OMG, have u seen Wild America (movie, 1997)? It’s about three teenagers (brothers) who go off for the summer to photograph animals in the wild. It’s fun, poignant, entertaining. But what is best is most if not all three of the brothers went on to become successful wildlife photographers. If this doesn’t answer your question, it’s certainly relevant and I think watching the movie would be good for you if this is your career goal. It will also show you that you can fulfill your dreams in the specific field you have a passion for….I think that kind of encouragement can be very helpful when you are young and sometimes following your dream looks overwhelming or impossible. Good luck!
I Love Photography and do it as a Hobby.
You can take Photography in college and their are clubs out there too. Get involved now so that you have years to learn and grow in the field. I did not stay with my Love of Photography and got sidetracked. But now that I am older I wish to take it up again.
Wildlife Photography is the best. You get to be outdoors and see amazing animals.
My nephew just got into it in his 30′s. How?
He bought a real High Tech Digital Camera and learned how to use it well. And he has traveled his whole life on huge trips twice a year to places all over the world. He put the two together. He decided to take photos of wildlife on these trips.
And it was just his silly luck he showed some from Africa to Wildlife experts and they said he had some Photos of rare animals that no one else can get pictures of.
That started his sideline job. He is now taking Photos of rare Animals all across the world.
Unfortunately, he has to pay his own travel espenses but he sells his Photos (National Geographic, Readers Digest) and it can pay for his travel. He has some amazing photos but got into some dangerous situations to get them.
My suggestion to you is to start young. Learn the foundation of Photography now. And if you grow in it you can make good money and enjoy life in nature.
You’re merely a baby.
